Ben Jorgenson was a machinist, a lifelong Illinois resident and a father, according to a GoFundMe started to support his children. BARTLETT, IL — A 35-year-old man was killed over the weekend after he was struck by two drivers, both of whom fled the scene, according to authorities. Ben Jorgenson, of Streamwood, was crossing Lake Street at Valley Lane in Bartlett around 7 p.m. Saturday when he was hit by two vehicles traveling west, police said. Neither driver stopped to render aid, according to police, although a GoFundMe that was started to support Jorgenson's children said that two good Samaritans rushed to help.
