Foundation donates $40K to Elgin's Boys and Girls Club Nicor Gas Foundation has donated $40,000 to support expanded workforce development programming at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Elgin. The funding is to be used for programs that introduce club members to career opportunities in STEM and energy-related industries, according to a news release. The Boys and Girls Club of Elgin serves about 1,800 youths from Aurora, Elgin, Hanover Park, Schaumburg, South Elgin and Streamwood at its three clubhouses and more than 30 school-based programs.
